What is Wai's
Traditional Ving Tsun Kung Fu

Wai’s is a traditional Wing Chun school and international training organization dedicated to preserving and teaching the complete Ip Man lineage system. Students can learn through regular classes, private instruction, affiliated schools and online study.
Training at Wai’s combines practical solutions with a complete, structured system. Students can work on specific problems and develop immediately useful skills, while those solutions are taught within a broader framework so they support long-term development rather than leave gaps in understanding or ability.
Students can train for enjoyment and personal skill, pursue the complete system, or continue through instructor development toward teaching and eventually operating a school of their own.

When teaching and traveling throughout China, Sifu Wayne is known as Sifu Wai (韦), and his schools therefore are called Wai's Kung Fu.

Ways To Learn
Learn In Person or Remotely

Train Wing Chun in regular in-person classes through a structured curriculum that develops skill progressively, from the fundamentals through advanced study.
Why Wai's?
What Makes Wai's Ving Tsun Different

Wai's teaches Wing Chun (Ving Tsun) as a connected system rather than a collection of techniques. The school combines decades of experience, traditional lineage, an organized curriculum and different training paths so students can go as far as they genuinely want to go.

Sifu Wayne has devoted more than four decades to martial arts and more than thirty years to the Ip Man / Moy Yat Wing Chun lineage. A disciple of Grandmaster Sunny Tang, he is the author of four Wing Chun books and has taught, competed, judged and represented the art internationally. Above all, his work has focused on understanding Wing Chun as a complete system and finding clearer ways to pass that knowledge to the next generation.
What is Ving Tsun
Patriarch Ip Man's Method

Ving Tsun (pronounced wing chun) is a Chinese martial art built around efficiency, structure, timing and sensitivity. Rather than relying primarily on strength or athleticism, students learn to use position, coordination and intelligent movement to accomplish more with less.
Its forms, partner training, Chi Sao, applications, wooden dummy and traditional weapons are parts of one connected system. The fundamentals are accessible from the beginning, yet the art continues to reveal greater depth as skill and understanding develop.

Anybody can say they teach Wing Chun (a generic term), and make claims about its efficiency. The spelling "Ving Tsun" was created by Patriarch Ip Man to represent his highly effective, efficient style and curriculum. If you feel your "wing chun" doesn't work, try Patriarch Ip Man's style.

The School & Community
Join Our Kung Fu Family

Wai’s is built around the traditional idea of a kung fu family. Students come with different goals and levels of commitment, from people who simply enjoy learning Wing Chun to those pursuing the complete system and instructor training.
What they share is a place where people practice together, help one another improve and develop skill at their own pace. Beginners are welcome, experienced students are expected to help others, and good training does not require ego or intimidation.
Come See For Yourself
Watch a Class. Ask Questions.

Choosing a kung fu school is personal. Come visit a class, meet the students, see how we train and get a feel for the school before deciding whether Wai’s is right for you.
There is no experience required and no expectation that everyone wants to become an instructor or advanced practitioner. Some students pursue the complete system; others simply want to learn good Wing Chun, develop skill and enjoy training with a good group of people.
