Wai's instructors teach within the same structured curriculum and continue to receive guidance as they move into the advanced stages of the system. Local instructors lead their schools; Sifu Wayne's role increasingly becomes that of senior mentor and coach, helping them refine technical judgment, teaching decisions and deeper understanding.

Our Lineage
Lineage is access, not decoration.
Wing Chun tradition traces the art to Ng Mui, who passed her knowledge to Yim Wing Chun, the woman from whom the system takes its name. Through generations of teachers and practitioners, that knowledge was preserved, refined and eventually passed to Grandmaster Ip Man, whose teaching established the modern lineage followed by Wai’s.

From Ip Man, our direct teacher-to-student lineage continues through Grandmaster Moy Yat, Grandmaster Sunny Tang, and Sifu Wayne Belonoha.​

For Wai’s, lineage is more than a list of names. It is access to accumulated knowledge. Each generation receives an art that has already been studied, tested and refined, then takes responsibility for understanding it deeply enough to pass it forward without losing the principles that connect the system as a whole.
